3D Text to Smoke Tutorial Part 1: Extruding Text from Element 3D to Cinema 4D

This is the first of a two-part tutorial showing you how to transition 3D text into smoke. In this part of the tutorial we’ll be preparing our 3D text so that we can do a smoke simulation in Turbulence FD. I’ll show you two options on how you can make your 3D text. The first by using Element 3D inside of After Effects and then exporting that text for Cinema 4D. And the second by taking an Illustrator text path into C4D and using that to extrude and outline the text.
